I finally made it out to that trail we talked about last month. The weather was perfect, not too hot and just a slight breeze. The path winds through a nice wooded area and opens up to a small lake about halfway through. I packed a light lunch and sat on one of the benches near the water. It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. I ended up taking the longer loop on the way back, which added about forty minutes. The wildflowers are still blooming along the ridge section, so if you go soon you might catch them. I saw a couple of deer near the creek crossing too. You should really try to make it out Tg20zI67UTOiSD0 there before the season changes. Let me know if you want me to share the trail map link again. Also, parking was easy at the main lot and they have added a few more spaces since last year.

I tried that pasta recipe you sent me last week and it turned out really well. I was a bit skeptical about the sauce combination but the flavors blended nicely. I added some roasted cherry tomatoes on the side and that gave it a nice pop of sweetness. The whole thing came together in about thirty minutes, which made it perfect for a weeknight dinner. I used fresh basil from the farmer's market and I think that made a big difference. Next time I might try adding some mushrooms or maybe spinach to boost the veggies a bit.
