Hey, thanks for getting back to me about the book club meeting — I was starting to think nobody had read the assignment. I honestly struggled through the first half but by chapter three I was completely hooked. The way the author builds tension through those quiet domestic scenes really worked for me. I kept thinking about it days later. Anyway, I can bring snacks if that helps. I was thinking maybe a simple cheese board and some of those rosemary crackers you liked last time. Let me know if you want me to pick up anything else. Also, I heard Jen is bringing her famous lemon bars so that alone is worth showing up for. I know parking near the library can be a pain but there is usually space behind the old post office if you don't mind walking a block. See you Thursday. Y7bi3yOKJPG I might be a few minutes late since my last meeting usually runs over but I will text you when I am on the way.

I finally tried that hiking trail you recommended last weekend and it was exactly what I needed. The weather was perfect not too hot and the canopy kept most of the sun off. I stopped at the little lookout point about halfway up and just sat there for maybe twenty minutes watching the clouds move through the valley. There was this couple ahead of me who kept stopping to take photos of every single mushroom they saw which was kind of adorable actually. I packed way too much water as usual but better safe than sorry. The descent was trickier than I expected especially on those loose gravel sections so next time I will bring trekking poles. Also I finally figured out why my phone kept losing signal up there turns out there is a dead zone right around mile marker three. I am already planning to go again next month maybe try the longer loop that connects to the ridge trail. Let me know if you want to join I can pack lunch for both of us. I found this really good thermos that keeps soup hot for hours so that is happening.
