Hey, thanks for asking about that book I mentioned! I just finished it last night and honestly it was so much better than I expected. The pacing was a little slow in the middle but the ending really pulled everything together in a satisfying way. I think you would enjoy it if you like character-driven stories with atmospheric settings. The author has a really unique way of describing places that makes you feel like you are actually there. Let me know if you want to borrow my copy, I can drop it off whenever you are free. Also I started watching that new series everyone is talking about and I am only two episodes in but so far it is pretty engaging. The cinematography is gorgeous and the soundtrack is surprisingly good. Have you seen it yet? We should maybe do a double feature weekend soon, it has been too long since we hung out properly.

I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me last week and it turned out really well! I added a bit more garlic than it called for because you know me, and I used fresh basil from the plant on my windowsill. The sauce was way easier than I thought it would be, I always assumed homemade marinara was complicated but it really is just letting things simmer for a while. My roommate said it was the best thing I have made in months so that felt pretty good. Also I finally organized my closet over the weekend and found a sweater I thought I lost two years ago, it was like a little gift from past me. Anyway let me know if you want to try that recipe together sometime, I think it would be fun to cook side by side and catch up properly.
