I was thinking about that hike we did last spring, the one up to the old fire lookout. It was a bit overgrown in sections, but the view at the top was absolutely worth the scramble. I remember we brought those sandwiches from the deli and ate them sitting on the rocks. I heard they did some trail maintenance over the summer, so it might be in better shape now. Maybe we could make it a day trip and grab dinner somewhere in town afterwards.

You won't believe what the cat did yesterday. I was working on my laptop at the kitchen table, and she just walked right across the keyboard and then plopped down directly on top of my notes. She looked so pleased with herself, purring like a motorboat. I had to gently move her, but she kept trying to inch her way back onto the papers. It's amazing how they find the most inconvenient spots to nap. I finally just got up and let her have the whole table, and I moved to the couch. She didn't even move when I came back an hour later.
