The best approach would be to check the soil moisture before watering. If the top two inches feel dry, then it is time to water. Most houseplants do better with less frequent watering rather than too much.
I usually wait until the leaves start to show a slight droop before giving them a drink. For succulents, I let the soil completely dry out between waterings, which can take up to two weeks depending on the season.
You might also consider the pot material. Terracotta pots absorb moisture and dry out faster than plastic ones.
If you are unsure, stick your finger into the soil near the edge of the pot. That will give you a reliable reading without disturbing the roots too much.

I think the key is to start with a rough outline and then fill in the sections one at a time. For the backyard project, we should measure the space first and then decide on the layout.
We have the shed materials ready and the concrete blocks are sitting in the garage. The weather forecast looks good for next weekend, so that would be the ideal time to begin.
I was thinking we could frame the structure on Saturday morning and then take a break for lunch. The roofing panels are lighter than I expected, so two people should be able to manage them without trouble.
One thing to keep in mind is the permit. The town office confirmed we do not need one for a shed under 120 square feet, so we are fine on that front.
Let me know if you prefer to start earlier in the day. I can be there by seven if that works for you.
