Oh hey, I finally checked out that little cafe you recommended near the park. The one with the outdoor seating and the string lights. It was really charming on a Tuesday evening, not too crowded at all. I tried their lavender latte and a slice of that lemon cake you mentioned. The cake was incredibly moist, definitely some of the best I have had in a while. The vibe was perfect for just sitting and people watching or catching up with a friend. I am already planning to go back this weekend to try their breakfast menu. They have an avocado toast with pickled onions that sounds right up my alley. Thanks again for the suggestion, it is nice to find a new spot that actually lives up to the hype. We should definitely plan to go together next time. I also took a long walk around the neighborhood yesterday and found a little park I had never noticed before. It has a really nice pond with some ducks and a few benches tucked under the trees. I am definitely going back there this weekend to read for a bit. Let me know if you want to come along and check it out. It is nothing fancy but it is a nice quiet spot to just relax and unwind.

I finally finished reading that book you lent me last month. Sorry it took me so long to get through it, life has been pretty busy lately. I have to say, the first half was a little slow for me, but the second half really picked up and I could not put it down. The character development was really well done, especially the main protagonist. I did not see that plot twist coming at the end at all. It completely changed how I viewed several earlier chapters. I would love to discuss it with you when you have some time. There are a few themes I picked up on that I am curious if you noticed too. Also, I have another book recommendation for you if you are interested. A colleague at work just finished it and said it reminded her of the style of the one I just read. I can drop it off next time I am in your neighborhood.
