I finally tried that hiking trail you recommended last weekend. The views from the ridge were absolutely incredible. I went early in the morning before it got too hot and had the whole place almost to myself. I saw a couple of deer near the creek about halfway up. The trail markers were pretty easy to follow, though there was one spot where I almost took a wrong turn. Next time I'll bring more water and maybe a snack. I'm thinking of going back next month when the leaves start changing. If you're free we could go together. Let me know what you think. I'm also looking into getting a better pair of hiking boots before the next trip. The ones I have now are a bit worn and I want something with more ankle support. I found a few good options online and might stop by the outdoor store this weekend to try some on.
