hi there — yes, I looked into that hiking trail you asked about. we took the northern loop last weekend and it was pretty solid. the elevation gain is steady but not brutal, maybe 900 feet over about three miles. there is a nice creek crossing around the halfway point, and the canopy cover is decent so it stays cool even midday. the trail markers are a bit faded near the junction, so keep an eye out for the cairns. overall I would recommend starting early because the parking fills up fast. regarding your question about the community garden plot — yes we still have a few available for this season. the soil testing was completed last week and the results came back with a neutral pH and good organic matter. we are planning to set up a shared watering schedule and a compost bin near the shed. if you want a plot I would suggest the ones along the south fence because they get the most sun. the coordinator mentioned that we will do a orientation session next Saturday morning. let me know if you want me to reserve one for you.
