I was just telling my neighbor about that hike we did last weekend near the lake trail. The weather held up perfectly and we ended up staying way longer than planned. She mentioned she's been looking for a good route that isn't too crowded early in the morning. I told her about the turnoff we found with the wildflowers and she said she'd definitely check it out next week. xj6fnctpHzer It reminded me that we still haven't tried the new coffee shop that opened near the bookstore downtown. I heard they roast their own beans and have a nice little patio out back. Maybe we could head over there this Saturday if the forecast stays clear. I know you mentioned you wanted to browse the gardening section anyway so it could work out well. Let me know what you think and I'll see if they have outdoor seating available.

I ran into Sarah at the grocery store yesterday and she told me about the book club she joined last month. She said they're reading a mystery novel set in a small coastal town and everyone in the group has really enjoyed it so far. She asked if I wanted to borrow her copy when she's done and I said yes. I've been looking for something new to read on the weekends when I just want to sit on the porch with a cup of tea. She also mentioned they meet every other Thursday at the library annex and new members are always welcome. I told her I might stop by the next meeting just to see how it feels. It sounded like a nice low-key group and the book selection seems right up my alley. I also picked up a few things for the dinner party next weekend and now I'm trying to decide whether to go with the pasta dish or the roasted vegetable option. Let me know what you think.
