Yeah I totally see what you mean about that trail being too crowded during the weekend. We went early on a Tuesday and it was perfect. Honestly the drive up there was already worth it. The weather was finally cool enough to enjoy the overlook. We brought sandwiches and just sat there for an hour. It felt like a completely different world. Anyway I finally started reading that book you lent me and I cannot put it down. The way the author describes the city makes me feel like I am walking through those streets myself. Let me know if you want to go again next week. I think the foliage will be at its peak then. It would be a shame to miss it. We could grab coffee at that new place downtown beforehand. I heard they have a great cold brew. Have you tried their pastries yet? I am thinking of bringing my camera along this time to capture some shots of the overlook. The colors should be incredible.

Also I wanted to ask if you have used that app we talked about for organizing playlists. I finally downloaded it and it is surprisingly intuitive. I spent an hour just sorting through old songs I had forgotten about. It is funny how music can bring back such specific memories. Honestly I had no idea painting a room could take that much prep work. The taping alone felt like it took half the day. But the end result is really solid. We went with a slightly warmer gray than the swatch and I am glad we did. It makes the space feel much bigger. I listened to that podcast you mentioned while I was painting and it made the time fly by. The host has a really engaging way of telling stories. I have already downloaded three more episodes. By the way I finally tried that little Italian place you mentioned near the park. The gnocchi was fantastic and the service was really attentive.
