The Council welcomes the reappointment of His Honour Judge Simon Drew KC as a Judicial Member of the Sentencing Council for a second tenure of 3 years. Simon’s reappointment was made by the Lady Chief Justice with agreement from the Lord Chancellor and will run until June 2029.

The Council also welcomes the reappointment of Jo King as the Council’s magistrate member for a further year. Jo’s reappointment was made by the Lady Chief Justice with agreement from the Lord Chancellor until October 2027, following her current term ending in October 2026.

The Lord Chancellor has also approved the further appointment of Tim De Meyer from 1 July 2026 until 30 June 2027, or the completion of the current campaign for a police representative if that is sooner.
