I did some research on the best soil mixtures for raised beds and found that a combination of compost, peat moss, and vermiculite works wonders for most vegetables. I also stumbled upon a great local nursery that sells organic seedlings at a reasonable price. I can send you the link if you are interested. I think we should set up a schedule for watering and weeding once we get the initial layout done. Let me know if you want to meet up this Saturday to start building the frames. I can bring the tools and some leftover wood I have in the shed. It will be a fun project to tackle together and we can finally get those tomatoes and peppers in the ground. I finally got around to fixing that old shelf in the living room. It had been wobbling for months and I kept putting it off. The trick was to use longer screws and wall anchors instead of the tiny ones that came with it. It is now rock solid and I can finally put my collection of plants on it without worrying about a disaster. I also rearranged the furniture a bit to let in more natural light and it has made the whole room feel much bigger and more inviting. You should come over and see it. I am planning to have a small movie night next Friday if you are free. I will make some popcorn and we can catch up properly.
