Hey, just got back from that hiking trail we talked about. Honestly, it was even better than expected. The weather held up and the views at the summit were incredible. We took the longer loop, about 6 miles, and it took us a bit over three hours with breaks. The trail was well-marked but pretty rocky in a few sections, so good hiking boots were definitely the right call. We packed sandwiches but there's a nice little creek about halfway if you want to filter water. I'm thinking of going back next weekend to try the north ridge path. Let me know if you want to join — happy to drive. Also, send me that playlist you mentioned, it might make the drive better. Anyway, just wanted to share while it was fresh in my mind. Started reading that sci-fi novel you recommended. Took a few chapters to get into it, but now I can't put it down. The world-building is really intricate without being confusing, and the main character's arc is surprisingly relatable for a story set in a distant galaxy. I'm about halfway through and a major plot twist just happened that completely recontextualized the first part of the book. It's rare to find something that balances thoughtful themes with genuine suspense. Have you read the sequel yet? I heard it focuses on a different character but is set in the same universe.
