Oh yeah I finally finished organizing that closet last weekend. It took way longer than I expected because I kept finding old boxes of stuff I forgot existed. Found some old board games and a bunch of holiday decorations that somehow ended up in the wrong bin. My partner said it looks great now and honestly I can actually find things when I open the door. The shelving unit I picked up made a huge difference even though I had to re-measure the space three times before I felt confident cutting anything. Next weekend we are thinking about tackling the garage but I might try to K4doM67cI7fcw talk them into a smaller project first like the hall closet. That one is pretty small and should go fast. We have been watching a lot of home improvement shows lately and getting all kinds of ideas. Some of them look way too complicated though. I think we will stick with the simple stuff for now and maybe hire help if anything structural comes up. The weather has been nice so at least we can open the windows while we work.

I told my friend I would help them pick out a new bookshelf this weekend so we spent about an hour browsing different styles online. They wanted something with adjustable shelves and a dark finish but nothing too trendy because they want it to last awhile. I found a couple options that looked sturdy and had good reviews. We narrowed it down to two and then went to see them in person. The assembly looked pretty straightforward on both but one had a backing panel that needed to be nailed in which seemed like extra work. They ended up going with the simpler one and we got it loaded into the car. Assembly took about an hour and a half but the instructions were clear and all the pieces were labeled well which made it easier. I remember putting together a similar piece a few years ago and the hardware was missing some screws so this was a much better experience. They were happy with how it turned out and immediately started arranging books on it. I think K4doM67cI7fcw we might grab another one next month for the other side of the room.
