Yeah, I finally watched that documentary about marine biology. It was surprisingly engaging. The cinematography was stunning, really made you feel like you were deep underwater. The narrator had a very calming voice too. Anyway, the weather here has been absolutely crazy lately. One minute it's sunny, the next it's pouring rain. I had to cancel my weekend hike because the trails were just too muddy. Hopefully it clears up by next week. I've been meaning to ask, did you finish that book you were reading? The one about the history of urban planning? I'm thinking of starting a new series soon, maybe something lighter and comedic. Oh, by the way, I ran into Sarah at the grocery store yesterday. She said to say hello. She's doing really well. Her new job keeps her busy but she seems happy. We should all plan a dinner together sometime next month. Let me know what you think.

So I tried making sourdough from scratch last weekend. Let me just say, it is way harder than it looks. The starter needs constant feeding and the temperatures have to be just right. My first loaf came out a bit dense, like a brick almost. But the flavor was actually decent! I'm going to try again this weekend with a slightly different hydration ratio. In other news, my cat has been acting really strangely lately. She keeps staring at the corner of the living room. I swear she sees something that I don't. It's a little spooky, honestly. Maybe she's just getting old and senile. Or maybe it's a ghost cat. Who knows. Apart from that, things are pretty quiet. I've been doing a lot of yard work, trying to get the garden ready for spring. The tulips I planted last fall are finally starting to peek through the soil. It's nice seeing some color again after the long gray winter.
