I think the new shelving unit in the garage is going to work out perfectly. It took a little longer to assemble than I expected but it feels solid. The adjustable feet levelers really helped on the slightly uneven floor. I spent yesterday afternoon organizing all the camping gear and it freed up so much floor space. Now I can actually park the car inside without playing tetris with the coolers and tents. Next weekend I might tackle the workbench area. If you have any tips for pegboard layouts let me know because I always end up with hooks spaced wrong and it drives me crazy. Anyway just wanted to share that it all came together nicely.

The drive up the coast was beautiful but the fog rolled in around Monterey and we barely saw the ocean for an hour. We stopped at a little diner that had the best sourdough pancakes. The waitress told us they start the batter three days ahead. We brought home a loaf from the bakery next door and it's almost gone already. The kids are already asking when we can go back. Honestly the whole trip felt longer than it actually was which is the best kind of weekend trip. We are already planning the next one. Maybe we can coordinate schedules and go together next time. It would be fun to explore that stretch of coastline with you guys.
