Hey, I finally got around to fixing that old bookshelf I’ve been meaning to refinish. It took longer than I expected because the stain I picked was way darker than I thought, so I had to sand it back down and start over. But honestly the result is pretty nice. I also rearranged the living room a bit, moved a couple of the plants closer to the window. The light there seems to be better for them. My neighbor saw the new setup and asked if I could help her with a similar project next weekend. I might take her up on it. Actually I just got back from a quick trip to the hardware store to pick up new drill bits. The ones I had were pretty worn out and kept slipping when I tried to make pilot holes. It’s funny how something so small can make a huge difference in a project. I also grabbed a couple of extra sanding sponges because I’m planning to redo the deck chairs this weekend. The weather forecast looks good so I want to take advantage of it. I think I'll go with a dark teal paint this time – something that stands out a bit in the garden. My friend recommended a brand that holds up well in the sun so I’m going to give it a try. Anyway, hope your weekend plans are coming together. Let me know if you need any help with yours.
