I think the best approach for your garden layout would be to start with the tall plants at the back. The sunflowers and corn need full sun exposure and they can create shade for the smaller plants if placed at the front. For the tomatoes you mentioned, they do well with consistent watering but make sure the soil drains properly. I would suggest adding some compost a few weeks before planting to enrich the soil. The raised bed idea you had is actually a good choice for drainage and weed control.

Let me know if you need help mapping out the spacing and I can sketch a simple diagram. Also consider marigolds around the border they help deter pests naturally.

I finished reading the novel you recommended and I have mixed feelings about it. The character development was strong but the pacing felt slow in the middle chapters. The ending though really brought everything together in a way I did not expect. For our next meeting I think we should discuss the symbolism in the third chapter because there are several layers I want to explore.

Have you read any other works by the same author I heard their earlier books have a very different style and I am curious to compare. Let me know what you think about the ending I would love to hear your perspective before we meet.
