I think the best way to handle the backyard project is to start with clearing the area and then leveling the ground before we bring in any materials. The retaining wall needs to go in first to create a proper terrace, and then we can lay the sod and plant the shrubs. We have the contractor scheduled for next month and the budget looks solid so far. The timeline should run about six weeks from start to finish depending on weather. We still need to pick the patio stones by the end of this week to keep things moving.
