Hey, I finally got the chance to try that new hiking trail near the lake last weekend. The weather was perfect – sunny but not too hot, and there was a nice breeze. We started early around 7am and finished the loop in about four hours. The view at the summit was incredible, you could see the whole valley. I brought a couple of sandwiches and some fruit, and we had a little picnic at the top. There were a few rocky sections that required some scrambling, but nothing too difficult. I just finished reading that book you recommended – the one about the family who travels across the country in an old RV. It was such a fun read!
