Hey thanks for the note about the hiking trail recommendation. I finally checked out the Ridge Loop last weekend and it was fantastic. The views from the lookout point were worth the climb. We packed a light lunch and spent about four hours total on the trail. The elevation gain was moderate but the path was well maintained. I saw a few deer near the creek around midday. I think you would really enjoy the section through the pine forest. Let me know if you want to go together next time. I am free most Saturday mornings and can drive us there. I wanted to follow up about our conversation last week regarding the community garden plot. I spoke with a few neighbors and everyone is excited about the idea of expanding the vegetable beds. We have a meeting scheduled for Thursday evening at the community center to discuss layout and planting schedules. I think we could really make something special with the space behind the old library building. The soil there gets good sunlight and there is a water spigot nearby. I will bring a rough sketch of the proposed beds and a list of easy-to-grow vegetables for beginners. Several people have offered to help with the initial digging and preparation. It would be great if you could come to the meeting and share your thoughts on the compost plan we talked about. I know you mentioned having some extra seeds you could contribute.
