Hey, thanks for getting back to me about the weekend plans. I think Saturday afternoon works perfectly for the barbecue. I was just checking the weather and it looks like it might be sunny. I grabbed some extra charcoal just in case. Let me know if you need directions to the park. I know the main entrance gets crowded, so maybe we can park near the soccer fields. There's a nice shaded area there with plenty of picnic tables. I'll bring the cooler and some extra chairs. Also, I wanted to ask if your brother is coming along? He mentioned he might bring his famous potato salad. I'm really looking forward to relaxing a bit. It's been a hectic month with work and all the usual stuff. Anyway, let me know what time you think we should start. I'll aim to get there early to set up. pUdEUgh5MaDbuV It should be a great day. I hope everyone can make it!

I finally started reading that book you recommended last month. The one about the history of cartography. It's fascinating how much effort went into mapping remote areas before satellite imagery. The chapters on the early expeditions are really detailed. I'm only about halfway through, but I can already see why you said it changes how you look at old maps. Have you read any other books by the same author? I was thinking of checking out his earlier work on maritime navigation. Also, I found a great podcast that interviews historians about similar topics. I'll send you the link if you're interested. Oh, and I finally fixed the leaky faucet in the kitchen. It was much easier than I expected. Just had to replace a worn-out washer. Let me know if you ever need help with a basic plumbing job.
