I think we should head up to the lake this weekend if the weather cooperates. Sarah mentioned the cabin is available and she already checked with the owners. We could leave Friday evening after work and come back Sunday afternoon. I was thinking we could bring the kayaks if they fit on the car. Let me know what you think about the timing. We should also figure out who is bringing what food wise so we don't end up with ten bags of chips and nothing for meals. I can bring the cooler and some drinks if that helps.

The garden project is coming along nicely. I managed to get most of the raised beds built last weekend and I am hoping to start planting this coming week. The soil mix I used seems to be draining well which was my main concern. I still need to figure out the drip irrigation system but I think I have a good plan for that. The tomatoes and peppers will go in the sunniest spot and the herbs can go along the edge where they get partial shade. I also want to put some flowers near the front to bring in pollinators. Let me know if you have any suggestions for the layout.
