I think the best approach for the garden this year would be to focus on perennials rather than starting everything from seed. We tried that last spring with the tomatoes and peppers and honestly the results were mixed at best. The soil in the back raised bed needs more compost before we plant anything heavy. I picked up a bag of organic mix from the nursery yesterday and it seems like good quality. If you want to borrow the tiller next weekend just let me know I can drop it off Friday evening after work. The weather forecast looks promising for later in the month so I am cautiously optimistic we will have a decent growing season.

I spent the better part of Saturday reorganizing the garage shelving units and finally found a system that actually works. The heavy bins went on the bottom row and lighter seasonal stuff up top near the ceiling. I labeled each container on three sides so I can see what is inside from any angle. My neighbor came over and suggested using color coded lids for different categories which made a lot of sense. I think I will pick up a few more of those stackable bins next time I am at the store. It feels good to have that space functional again.
