Hey, how was your weekend? Mine was pretty low-key. I finally started reading that book you recommended a few months back. I got through the first couple of chapters and I can already tell it's going to be a slow burn, but in the best way possible.

I also spent way too much time trying to fix that squeaky door in the hallway. Took me a while to find the right lubricant, but I think I finally got it. It's amazing how satisfying something so simple can be. Let me know if you want to grab coffee this week, would be great to catch up properly.

By the way, I tried that new bakery that opened up on Main Street. Their sourdough is fantastic, perfectly crusty on the outside and soft inside. You'd love it.

I just got back from taking the dog to the park. He ran into the lake chasing a duck and came out completely covered in mud. It took me a good twenty minutes just to rinse him off with the hose before I could even think about letting him in the house. I swear, he looked so proud of himself the whole time. jm1gobrqXeTOqo It was one of those moments where you can't help but laugh, even though you know you have a mess to clean up. I ended up having to give him a full bath afterward, and now he's sleeping soundly on his bed, completely exhausted. I'm just glad the weather was nice enough to deal with it outside. Made me think, it's the simple, ridiculous moments that tend to stick with you. Anyway, hope you're having a good week so far. Let's plan that hike soon, the trails should be drying out nicely after all the recent rain.
