We finally got out to the trails this past weekend. The weather was perfect for a long walk, though we underestimated how muddy it would be after all the rain last week. We saw a ton of wildflowers blooming along the ridge, which was a nice surprise. I packed a pretty simple lunch this time, just sandwiches and some fruit, but it hit the spot. The dogs were absolutely exhausted by the end, which made for a very quiet evening at home. I’m already looking forward to next weekend, though the forecast is calling for more rain.
