Hey, thanks for getting back to me about the weekend trip. I was thinking we could leave around Friday evening to avoid the worst of the traffic. I checked the weather and it looks like it might be a bit cloudy but no rain, so we can still plan for that hike we talked about. Let me know if you want to bring anything specific, I can pick up snacks and drinks on the way. Also, I haven't heard from Mike yet, did he confirm he's joining us? I know he was unsure about his work schedule. Anyway, just let me know what you think about the timing. We can adjust if needed. I'm flexible so whatever works best for the group is fine with me.

I finally started that gardening project over the weekend. The soil in the backyard is much harder than I expected, so it took a while just to prep the beds. I ended up mixing in some compost and peat moss to lighten it up. I planted tomatoes, peppers, and some basil. I also put in a few flower seeds along the fence line just to add some color. My neighbor came over and gave me a few tips on watering schedules since our area has been pretty dry lately. I'm hoping everything takes off in the next couple of weeks. It'll be nice to have fresh produce again. I might even try some cucumbers next month if there's space.
