Yeah, I finally got around to trying that new trail you mentioned last weekend. The weather was perfect, not too hot and the trees were just starting to change color. We brought sandwiches and ate them by the little creek about halfway through. The kids found a spot where they could skip stones and we ended up staying there for almost an hour. Next time you should come with us, I think your dog would love the stream crossings. There were a few steep sections but nothing too crazy. We clocked about five miles round trip and it took us around three hours with all the stops. I'm already thinking about going back next weekend if the weather holds. Let me know if you want to join, we usually head out around 9am on Saturdays. The parking lot wasn't too crowded when we arrived but it was filling up fast when we left around noon. I'd recommend going early to avoid the rush.
Also, I finally picked up that book you were talking about. I'm only a few chapters in but the writing style is really engaging. The way the author describes the setting makes you feel like you're right there. I can see why you enjoyed it so much.

I finally watched that documentary you have been telling me about. It was really well done, the cinematography was beautiful and I learned a lot about the subject that I did not know before.
