Hi there—thanks for the note about Saturday. I think we can definitely make it work if we aim for a late afternoon start, say around 3:30. The weather looks decent so we could set up in the backyard if folks want to spread out. I was thinking we could keep it simple with some fresh fruit, a cheese plate, and maybe that pasta salad you mentioned last week. Let me know if you need me to bring extra chairs or a cooler. I also wanted to ask about timing for the dessert—if we do a baked option, I can prep it here and just warm it up when we arrive. Let me know what you think.

Regarding your question about the garden beds—I ended up going with raised boxes made from cedar because it holds up well in our climate. I filled them with a mix of topsoil and compost from the local nursery, and so far the tomatoes are doing really well. I planted basil around the edges too, which seems to help with pests. If you want to try something similar, I can send you the dimensions I used and the soil ratio. Just let me know and I can write it all out.
