I finally took your advice and checked out the Blue Ridge trail last weekend. It was absolutely stunning this time of year with all the leaves changing. We parked at the north entrance around 7 AM and had the path mostly to ourselves until about 10 AM. The elevation gain was pretty steady but manageable, definitely broke a sweat though. Packed some sandwiches and ate at the summit overlook. The view stretched for miles. I think next time I'll bring better hiking boots because my ankles were a little sore afterwards. You should definitely come with me next time, you'd love the challenge. Oh and thanks for recommending those moisture-wicking socks, they made a huge difference. I'm already looking at maps for another route next month maybe something longer if I can convince a few more friends to join. Let me know if you want to borrow my gear for your trip next spring.

I finished that sci-fi novel you lent me and it totally blew my mind. The world-building was incredibly detailed without being overwhelming and the plot twists kept me guessing until the very last chapter. I loved how the author explored the consequences of time travel on personal relationships. Have you read the sequel yet? I heard it focuses on a completely different character but in the same universe. I'm thinking of picking it up this weekend if I can find it at the library. Also I finally watched the movie adaptation of his earlier book and honestly the book was way better they left out an entire subplot about the main character's sister. Anyway thanks again for the recommendation I'll have to browse your bookshelf again soon.
