Hey there — I finally got around to testing that new recipe you sent me last week. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first because the ingredient list looked kind of unusual, but once everything came together it was actually really good. I swapped out the yogurt for a dairy-free alternative and it still worked fine. My kids asked for seconds which never happens. Let me know if you have any other recommendations like that one. I’ve been trying to branch out a little with weeknight dinners instead of just rotating the same five meals over and over. By the way, I saw your question about the garden project — we ended up going with raised beds after all, and so far the soil drainage is way better than last year. I’ll send you a photo once the seedlings start to pop up. Hope you’re doing well and getting outside a bit more now that the weather is shifting.

I finally got around to reading that book you mentioned a while back — the one about the artist who moved to a small coastal town. It took me a couple of chapters to really settle into the pacing, but once I did I couldn’t put it down. The descriptions of the ocean light and the old stone buildings made me want to plan a trip somewhere similar. Have you been to any places like that? Also, I tried the fermentation project you showed me — the first batch of vegetables came out a little too salty but the second one was actually pretty good. I think the temperature in my kitchen was too warm the first time. Anyway, thanks again for the suggestion. Let me know if you have anything else on your list worth reading. I’ve got a long flight coming up and need a few solid options.
