I think the trail near the lake would work best for us this weekend since it is not too long and has good views along the way. We could start early around 7 to avoid the heat and pack some sandwiches for a break at the midpoint. I checked the weather and it should be clear with mild temperatures so we will not need heavy gear. The parking lot is small so arriving early helps. We should bring plenty of water and maybe a light jacket for when we stop. The path is well maintained but there are some rocky sections so good shoes are important. Let me know if you want to adjust the time or bring anything else. I can pick up some trail mix and fruit for us. The forecast shows a light breeze in the afternoon which should keep things comfortable. I will bring a small backpack with extra layers just in case the temperature shifts.

I finally sorted through all those boxes in the home office and found a much better arrangement for the desk and shelves. The key was moving the bookshelf to the wall by the window so the light hits it differently throughout the day. I grouped all reference materials on the lower shelves and kept current projects within easy reach on the top. The filing cabinet is now next to the desk rather than behind it which makes a big difference when I need to grab something. I also added a small lamp on the corner for evenings. The whole room feels more open now and I can actually see the floor. It took a whole afternoon but it was worth the effort. I still need to sort through the drawers but the main layout is finished and working well so far.
