I finally decided to repaint the living room accent wall this weekend. It was a much bigger project than I expected, mostly because I kept changing my mind about the color. I started with a nice sage green but ended up going with a deep navy blue. The transformation is actually incredible, it makes the whole space feel way more put together. nXXiULFSNf I still have to hang the new shelves I bought, but the hard part is done. Painting is one of those things where preparation is everything. The taping and priming took longer than the actual painting. Anyway, it feels good to finally check that off the list before the holidays roll around. Next up is organizing the hall closet. I think I will need to get some storage bins to make it work properly and keep everything accessible.

We tried that new bistro downtown last night that everyone keeps talking about. Honestly, the atmosphere was better than the food, but it was still a nice evening out. I had the grilled salmon which was cooked perfectly but the sides were a bit underseasoned. My friend got the steak frites and said it was pretty standard. We shared a chocolate lava cake for dessert which was definitely the highlight. I would probably go back for drinks and appetizers rather than a full dinner. The service was excellent though, our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. It is always nice to try somewhere new and have a reasonable experience without any pressure. Next weekend we are planning a hike up at the state park if the weather cooperates. I really need to get out more and enjoy the fresh air before it gets too cold and the trails close for the season.
