hey! i finally tried that brisket recipe you sent me last month. honestly i was nervous about the smoke time but it turned out so tender. my whole neighborhood smelled amazing for two days. the secret really is the dry brine and letting it rest overnight. i used a mix of apple and hickory chips and the bark came out perfect. next time i might 7BoQciInC9 wrap it in butcher paper a little earlier to keep more moisture in. anyway i just had to tell you because i know you were curious how it would go. also your tip about spritzing every hour with apple cider vinegar was spot on. can't wait to try it again for the next get together. hope you and the family are doing great. we should catch up properly soon. let me know if you want me to send you the exact rub measurements i used. seriously it was a game changer.

you asked about that hiking trail i did last weekend. honestly it was way more challenging than the website described. the elevation gain was steady for the first two miles and then it opened up to this incredible ridge line with views of the whole valley. i packed way too much water and not enough snacks so i was pretty hungry by the end but totally worth it. the wildflowers were still blooming in patches and i saw a family of deer about fifty yards off the trail. i used those boots i got last spring and they held up great even on the rocky sections. if you want to try it i would start early because the parking lot fills up by nine. also there's a creek crossing about halfway that's easy to hop across unless the water is high. let me know if you want me to send you the alltrails link. we should plan a trip together soon.
