I finally got around to organizing the garage this weekend. It took forever but we found some old board games and books we forgot we had. The kids were so excited to find that old Monopoly set. We ended up spending the whole afternoon playing it. It was really nice to disconnect from screens for a bit and just hang out together. I also found my old vinyl collection. Most of them are in pretty good shape considering they've been sitting in a box for years. I'm thinking about getting a record player now. My neighbor has one and it sounds amazing. Anyway, I should probably sort through the rest of the boxes next weekend. There's still a lot of clutter to go through but at least the car fits in the garage now. That's a win in my book. Let me know if you want to borrow any of the books I found. A few of them look like they might be first editions.

I'm also planning to start a small herb garden on the patio. The weather has been perfect lately and I think mint and basil would do really well. I picked up some pots and soil last week. Just need to grab the seeds. It should be a nice little weekend project.

Have you tried that new bistro downtown? We went last Friday and the ambiance was incredible. They had a live acoustic set playing in the corner. The menu is small but everything we ordered was fantastic. I had the mushroom risotto and it was perfectly cooked. My wife got the grilled salmon and she cleaned her plate. That rarely happens. We finished the night with a tiramisu that was honestly the best I've had outside of Italy. The service was also top-notch. Our waiter was attentive without being annoying. We made a reservation ahead of time which I highly recommend because it was packed by seven o'clock. We are already planning to go back next month to try their weekend brunch. I hear their eggs benedict is something special.

On a completely different note, I finally replaced the filter in our HVAC system. It was way overdue. The airflow already feels much better. I ordered a pack of them online so I won't forget to change it again next quarter.
