I was just thinking about that book you mentioned last week — the one about coastal gardening. I finally picked it up and you were right, the chapter on soil drainage alone was worth the price. I spent Saturday morning reworking the bed along the south fence and I think the lavender might actually survive this year. Also, I tried that pasta recipe you sent and added a bit of lemon zest and fresh basil at the end. It was bright and simple and exactly what a Tuesday night needed. Let me know if you want to borrow the gardening book when I am done. I should finish it by next weekend at the latest. Anyway, thanks for the tip. Hope you are having a good week so far.

I finally got around to organizing the garage last weekend and it felt ridiculously satisfying. I found three identical pairs of gardening gloves, a set of shelf brackets I bought two years ago, and a sketchbook I thought I had lost. Anyway, I was telling my neighbor about your recommendation to use those clear stackable bins and she swore by the ones with the flip-top lids. She said they keep out dust way better than anything with a latch. I ordered a set of six and they arrived yesterday. Now I just need to actually label them instead of telling myself I will remember what is inside. I never remember. Also, that podcast you played on the drive last month — the one about urban beekeeping — I finally finished it and I cannot stop thinking about building a small hive in the backyard. My wife is not convinced but I am working on her. I will let you know how it goes.
