I think that sounds like a solid plan for Saturday. We could meet up around noon and grab lunch before heading over to the park. The weather forecast looks promising with just a few clouds expected. I heard they added some new walking trails along the creek and there is a nice shaded area near the pavilion where we can sit and catch up for a while. Bring a blanket if you want to sit on the grass because the benches might be taken if it gets crowded. I will also bring some snacks and water so we don't have to buy anything there. Let me know if you want to invite anyone else or if it will just be the two of us. I can drive if your car is still in the shop. Just send me a quick text when you know for sure. It has been a while since we last hung out and I am looking forward to it. There is a coffee shop a block away from the main entrance that stays open until eight if we want to extend the afternoon a little. No worries if you need to leave early though. I am flexible with the schedule so whatever works best for you is fine with me. We can decide on a backup plan in case it rains. The museum downtown has free admission on Saturdays so that could be an option if the weather does not cooperate. I will check the hourly forecast on Friday and let you know what I see. Talk soon.

I tried that Italian place you mentioned last night and I have to say the lasagna was really good. The sauce had a nice slow-cooked flavor and the cheese was perfectly melted on top. The staff was friendly and the service was quick even though they seemed busy. I ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it was light and not too sweet which I appreciated. The only downside was the parking lot was a little tight but I found a spot near the back without too much trouble. If you want to go there together next time I am definitely in. They also have a lunch special that runs until three on weekdays so that might be a good option if we want to save a bit. I saw they have outdoor seating too with heaters so even when it gets cooler it could still be comfortable. Let me know if you have been there recently and if you tried anything else on the menu that stood out to you. I am thinking of going back next week to try the chicken parmesan because the table next to me ordered it and it looked really good. The portion sizes are generous so you get good value for what you pay. Anyway I am glad you recommended it because I have been looking for a new go-to spot for a while now.
