Yeah I finally tried that new hiking trail up near the lake. It was about 8 miles round trip with some pretty steep sections but the view at the top was worth the climb. We started early around 6am so we had the trail mostly to ourselves. The mosquitoes were out in force near the water though so next time I'm bringing stronger repellent. My dog loved it she was running around like crazy the whole time. We packed sandwiches and ate them at the summit while watching the clouds roll in. Definitely eXxt73lJsv going back next month when the leaves start changing. A friend mentioned there's a shorter loop on the east side that connects to a small waterfall so we might try that one instead. Either way it's a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

I just finished reading that book you recommended last week and honestly I couldn't put it down. The way the author described the small town atmosphere made me feel like I was actually there. I ended up finishing it in three days which is pretty fast for me. The plot twist in chapter twelve completely caught me off guard I had to go back and reread some sections to see if I missed any clues. I already ordered the sequel from the library so hopefully it arrives soon. Let me know if you have any other suggestions I'm on a roll now. The writing style reminded me a lot of that other author we used to read in college but with a sharper edge to the dialogue.
