I actually just got back from the park with the dog. It was a perfect afternoon — not too hot, just a light breeze. We ran into a friend from work who was out jogging, so we stopped and chatted for a while. The dog tried to chase a squirrel but gave up pretty quickly. I think she just wanted an excuse to sit in the shade anyway. Anyway, I was going to ask if you'd looked at that documentary I mentioned last week. I finally watched it and it was even better than I expected. The cinematography alone was stunning, especially the mountain scenes. Let me know when you want to talk about it. No rush at all.

Also, I picked up a couple of books from the library yesterday — one is a mystery set in a small coastal town and the other is a collection of short essays about gardening. I started the mystery last night and I'm already hooked. There's something about a rainy setting that makes a story feel cozier, don't you think?

Oh, and I tried that new Thai place on Elm Street. The pad thai was solid but the spring rolls were incredible. We should go together sometime if you're free. I'd love to hear what you think of it. Anyway, just catching up. Hope your week is going okay so far.

Hey, I was wondering if you'd given any thought to that road trip idea we talked about a couple weeks ago. I've been looking at some maps and there's a really interesting route that goes through a bunch of small towns with old diners and quirky museums. One place has a museum dedicated entirely to buttons — I'm not kidding. It sounds ridiculous but also kind of amazing. I think it could be a fun weekend thing if we plan it right. Let me know what you think. No pressure either way.

Also, my neighbor just adopted a kitten from the shelter and it is the most energetic little thing I've ever seen. It spent the entire afternoon chasing a laser pointer around their living room. I went over to say hi and ended up staying for an hour just watching it bounce off the furniture. Pretty sure I needed that laugh. Anyway, just wanted to share. Hope you're doing well.

Oh, one more thing — I finally organized my bookshelf by color and it looks way better than I expected. I know that's a weird thing to be excited about but it makes me happy every time I walk past it. You should come see it sometime. I'll make coffee.
