Hey, got your email about the warehouse reorganization. I completely agree that shifting the heavy equipment to the back bay makes the most sense. The floor crew can handle the forklift training next Tuesday and Wednesday. We'll need to block off those aisles during the move to prevent any interruptions. Also, regarding the shift scheduling for the holidays, I think we should allow voluntary overtime first before mandating anything. Let me know if you want me to draft the sign-up sheet and send it out to everyone. The new inventory system should be installed by then, which will make tracking the relocated items much easier. We can test it with a small batch of products before rolling it out fully. I'll check with IT about the best time for a dry run. Let's aim to have this wrapped up before the end of the month so we're not rushing during the busy season. Let me know what you think and I'll get the ball rolling on my end.

Also, I wanted to follow up on the training schedule. The team seemed a bit overwhelmed last time we tried a rapid rollout. Maybe we can break it into two half-day sessions instead of one full day. That way people can still handle their regular duties in the morning or afternoon. I can reserve the conference room for both days if that works for everyone.

One more thing about the labeling system — the new barcode scanners are really intuitive. I think once people get their hands on them they'll pick it up quickly. I'll set up a demo station near the break room so people can practice during their lunch break if they want.

Regarding the community outreach program, I reached out to the local high school's woodshop teacher. He is thrilled about the possibility of receiving our scrap lumber and hardware. He mentioned they are building small furniture pieces for a local shelter. I also spoke with the art department about using some of the returned paint and brushes. They can definitely use those supplies. We just need to set up a regular pickup schedule. I was thinking the first Saturday of every month would be easy for the team to remember. We can have volunteers bag up the usable scrap during the last week of the month. This keeps it out of the dumpster and builds great local relations. The PR team is already drafting a short blurb about the partnership for the local paper. Let me know if we need to get any liability waivers signed by the school district before we start.

I also wanted to mention that the staff lounge renovation is moving forward. The contractor will be starting next Monday. They'll be working on the flooring first, then the kitchen cabinets. We should probably put up a sign reminding everyone that the room will be off-limits for about two weeks. I'll set up a temporary coffee station in the break room next door so people don't have to go far.

On another note, the office supply order came in this morning. I sorted everything and put it in the supply closet. The new staplers and hole punches are on the top shelf. Let me know if you need anything specific pulled out before the general access is announced.
