I finally got around to trying that sourdough starter recipe you sent me last month. I have to say, I was really skeptical at first because it seemed like a lot of work for just bread, but the process was actually kind of meditative. It took about ten days for it to become really active and bubbly. I baked my first loaf last weekend and it turned out way better than I expected. The crust was perfectly crunchy and the inside was soft with just the right amount of tang. The whole house smelled amazing for hours. I'm already planning to double the recipe for the next batch and maybe experiment with adding some herbs like rosemary or garlic. Anyway, thanks again for the tip. We finally took your advice and watched that documentary series about national parks over the weekend. Honestly, we shouldn't have started it on a Thursday night because we ended up binge-watching four episodes back to back and stayed up way too late. The cinematography was absolutely stunning, especially the episodes focusing on the canyon lands and the Alaskan glaciers. It really made us want to plan a trip out west this summer. We've already started looking at trail maps and campsite availability for Glacier National Park, which looks incredible. My partner is a bit nervous about the wildlife encounters, but I think as long as we follow the park guidelines and store our food properly it should be a safe and amazing experience.
