Yeah I totally get what you mean about the timing. We were planning to go last weekend but then the weather shifted and it just didn't work out the way we hoped. Honestly I think we might push it to next month when things settle down a bit more. The kids have been asking about it constantly though so we can't delay too long. I was looking at some of the trails online and there's one that loops around the lake that looks perfect for a day trip. We'd need to pack lunch and plenty of water since there aren't many rest spots along the way ryRn6rPKdgbB. My brother mentioned that the parking lot fills up fast on weekends so we'd need to get there early. Maybe we could carpool if you're interested. Let me know what you think and we can figure out a date that works for everyone. I also heard they added a new section that connects to the old fire road so there's more ground to cover now.

I finally tried that recipe you sent me last week and it turned out really well. I was a bit skeptical about the combination of ingredients at first but the flavors actually worked together perfectly. I made a few small adjustments though. I used less salt than it called for and added a bit more lemon juice to brighten it up. The cooking time was pretty accurate but I let it rest for an extra five minutes before serving and that seemed to help a lot. Everyone at the table enjoyed it and asked for seconds which is always a good sign. I'm thinking of trying another variation next time with some different herbs to see how it changes the overall profile. Let me know if you have any other recommendations because I'm always looking for new things to try in the kitchen. The leftovers held up well too which was a nice bonus.
