I think you're right about the hiking trail we took last weekend. The switchbacks were definitely steeper than I remembered too. Maybe we should try the eastern loop next time since it has more shade and the views are supposed to be even better. I heard from Mark that the wildflowers along that route are really starting to bloom now. We could pack a lunch and make a full day of it if the weather cooperates. Let me know what you think about Saturday morning. I know you mentioned you had other plans but I think we can make it work if we start early enough. The trailhead parking fills up fast anyway so being there by seven is probably smart. Also I wanted to ask if you have seen that new documentary about coastal ecosystems that everyone is talking about. I started watching it and the cinematography is incredible especially the underwater sequences. It really makes you appreciate how much we still have to learn about the ocean and its inhabitants.

I finally got around to organizing my bookshelves yesterday and it took way longer than I expected. I ended up pulling everything off and sorting by genre which turned into a trip down memory lane because I kept finding old notes and bookmarks. There was one book with a receipt from 2018 still inside which was pretty funny. Anyway the shelves look great now and I actually have room for new additions. You should see the system I came up with it is very color coded and honestly quite satisfying. I know you were thinking about doing the same thing with your collection. If you want I can send you photos of how I arranged things. Also I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me and it was delicious. The sauce came out really creamy and the fresh basil made a huge difference. I added a bit of lemon zest which gave it a nice brightness. I also picked up a new board game that I think you would really enjoy. It is cooperative and has a lot of strategic depth without being overly complicated. I am hoping we can get a group together soon to try it out.
