Hey, just following up on what we talked about last week. I think Saturday afternoon would work perfectly for everyone. Sarah said she can bring her famous dip and Mark volunteered to grab drinks on the way over. I was thinking we could set up in the backyard if the weather holds up, and if not we have plenty of room in the living room. Let me know if you think we need to pick up extra chairs or if everyone is okay sitting on the floor and couches. I can also run out and grab some more ice if needed before the stores close. Just let me know what time you think you will be free to start helping set things up. No pressure if the timing does not work out, we can always push it back a week or do something smaller. Let me know what you think when you get a moment to check your schedule. I really appreciate you helping coordinate everything and I am looking forward to catching up with everyone. Let me know if there is anything else I should pick up while I am out. VqvUESsQnS7l Thanks again for being flexible with the planning.

I finally got around to trying that trail you recommended over by the lake. It was absolutely stunning this time of year with all the leaves changing color. We started early around 7 in the morning and the mist was still hanging over the water when we got to the first overlook. The trail was moderately challenging with some steep sections but nothing too crazy. We packed sandwiches and ate lunch at the summit and just sat there taking in the view for about an hour. I saw a deer on the way back down and a few really cool mushrooms along the trail that I tried to take pictures of. We were back at the car by early afternoon and stopped for coffee on the way home. You were right about the boots though, I definitely need to invest in a better pair before the next trip. Let me know if you want to go again next month. I am thinking we could try the north loop this time since it is supposed to be a bit longer but with even better views of the valley. I checked online and the weather looks promising for the first weekend.
