Hey there, I saw your message about the weekend plans. Honestly, I think the weather might not cooperate if we try to do the outdoor thing. A few of us were talking and maybe it’s better to push it to the following Saturday. Everyone I checked with seemed open to that idea. Let me know what you think because I don’t want to assume everyone can move their schedule around. I just know the forecast had some rain in the afternoons for the next few days. It might still clear up, but you never know with these spring patterns. Anyway, I’m flexible so if you all want to keep it as is, I can bring a tent or something. Just let me know before I order the snacks. Also, I ran into Jen at the store and she said she might bring her new board game, so there is that option too. I guess the main thing is picking a time that works for the majority. Talk soon!
Also, I wanted to ask if you had a chance to look at that article I sent about the trail restoration project. I think a few of us could volunteer if the dates align. Let me know if you are interested and I will sign us up.
Cheers.

Oh I completely get what you mean about the garden beds. I started mine later than usual this year too and the soil was still a bit cold. I think we are going to try a different layout next season, maybe raised beds along the south side where the light is better. A friend of mine used that method and her tomatoes did really well even with the dry spell. I might also add some marigolds around the border to help with the pests naturally. The whole setup takes more time than I expected but it is worth it when things start producing.
By the way, did you end up going to that workshop last week? I was planning to but something came up at the last minute. I heard they covered a lot of practical tips for early season planting and some techniques for extending the harvest into fall. I am hoping they offer it again next month because I would really like to catch it then. Maybe we could go together if the schedule works out.
Anyway, let me know if you want to swap any seeds or starts. I have more than I can use this year.
