I meant to reply earlier, but the afternoon got away from me and I only just sat down again.
Yes, I tried the new park trail last weekend, and it was much quieter than I expected. The trees made a nice canopy, so even though it was warm, the walk felt easy the whole time.
I took a longer route by accident and ended up near the pond, which honestly was the best part. A few people were sketching near the water, and someone had a little folding stool and a thermos, which seemed like a very organized way to spend a morning.
If you go, I would start on the east side entrance because the shade comes earlier there. I also think late morning would be better than midday. Next time I go, I want to bring a notebook and just sit for a bit instead of rushing through the whole loop.

I finally got around to sorting those shelves, and it turned out to be much less painful than I had imagined.
I started with the top row because it was mostly things I never reach for, and once I moved a few boxes, the whole thing looked less chaotic. I found two notebooks I forgot I had and a puzzle still in the wrapping, which felt like an unexpected little win.
I also tried your suggestion of grouping everything by use instead of by size, and that worked better right away. Now the art supplies are together, the cables are all in one bin, and I can actually open the door without balancing on one foot.
I think the hardest part was deciding what should stay visible and what could be tucked away. If I keep it up tomorrow, I can probably finish the last corner and finally stop pretending it will organize itself.
