A Message from Principal Peterson

Dear Families,

As we look ahead to the coming school year, I have spent considerable time reflecting on what makes a school community thrive. At the heart of every successful school is a culture where students experience both a strong sense of belonging and high expectations for learning, behavior, and personal growth.

Our vision is to continue building a school community where every student feels welcomed, valued, respected, and connected while also being challenged to reach their fullest potential. We know that students are most successful when they feel that they belong and when the adults in their lives work together to support their growth.

To achieve this vision, we will be seeking opportunities to partner with families and gather your input as we begin developing a plan to strengthen and positively shift our school culture. Your voice matters. Your experiences, perspectives, and ideas are essential as we work together to ensure our school continues to meet the needs of all students and families. Over the coming months, we will provide opportunities for families to share feedback, participate in discussions, and help shape our collective path forward.

As part of this work, we also recognize the importance of addressing concerns related to bullying and peer relationships. Creating a safe and supportive environment requires ongoing conversations and a shared commitment from students, staff, and families. To support these efforts, we are planning a **Bullying Community Action Workshop** where families, staff, and community members can come together to learn, discuss concerns, and identify meaningful solutions. Additional information is forthcoming.

Real and lasting change occurs when we commit to being solution-oriented and work together to address both school needs and family concerns. While challenges may arise, our focus must remain on collaboration, communication, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement. By listening to one another, seeking understanding, and working toward common goals, we can create positive outcomes for all students.

I look forward to working alongside you to make our school community a place where every student feels a sense of belonging, every family feels heard and valued, every staff member feels supported, and every child is empowered to learn, grow, and succeed.

Thank you for your partnership and your commitment to our school community.
