at The Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center
on display through June 8
Wednesday - Monday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Closed Tuesdays
Give Me Liberty explores the unique and essential Virginia people, events, and sites that helped bring liberty and democracy to a nation. Commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this exhibit highlights the complex, diverse, and inspiring Virginia history which is, in fact, America’s story.
The exhibit provides context for the coming of the Revolution in Virginia and brings visitors into the core of the action from 1774 through 1776, highlighting how the American Revolution was a war, and more than a war.
Give Me Liberty: Virginia and the Forging of a Nation is the signature exhibition of the Virginian Amercian Revolution 250 Commision. It was produced in partnership by the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation and the Virginia Musuem of History and Culture.

Declaration 1776: The Big Bang of Modern Democracy
On Display from July 1 - July 24

Around the world, other countries have declared independence taking the U.S. Declaration of 1776 as a model.
