Atoms Weekly Recap

Baseball traveled to Fairfax High School to take on Woodson in the opening round of the Occoquan Region Tournament. Woodson go up early 2-0 on the Atoms and looked poised to break the game open but the Atoms hung tough throughout, making the Cavaliers sweat late in the game. Unfortunately, the Atoms were unable to push a run across to close the gap only to see Woodson add three more to get the 5-0 win and end the Atoms season.

Softball jumped on the bus to Patriot Park to square off with South County in the first round of the Occoquan Region Tournament. The Stallions flexed early and often against the Atoms as they cruised to a 19-2 victory to close the softball season for the Atoms.

Girls Tennis will be represented on Monday by Lizzie Gronberg in the Occoquan Region Singles Tournament at Fairfax.

Outdoor Track & Field competed in the Occoquan Region Championship Thursday and Friday at Lake Braddock. The Atoms were represented well throughout their performances with many of them finishing the season with personal best times/performances but were highlighted by Connor Uzokoff finishing 9th in the 800m run. Jeremiah Nelson will represent Annandale in the VHSL State Championship in June.
