With just under three weeks left in the school year, the energy in our community is sky‑high! We’re thrilled to kick off this final May newsletter by celebrating our newly elected 2026–2027 PTA Executive Board—thank you for stepping up to lead another fantastic year. We’re also cheering loudly for the amazing volunteers who brought back the beloved 6th Grade Basketball Game, turning it into an unforgettable spring highlight. And speaking of celebrations, a big, happy shout‑out goes to Mrs. Brooker, who was honored by the Fairfax County Council PTA as a Power Partner Principal. We always knew she was a superstar, and now the whole county does too!
As we wrap up the year, there’s still plenty to look forward to. On June 11 at 7:00 PM, join us on Zoom for our Curriculum Enhancement Showcase, where we’ll spotlight the incredible opportunities available to students beyond the school day. From before‑school Spanish and after‑school enrichment like robotics and chess, to a new proposal for the school musical, PTA‑sponsored clubs such as Science Olympiad and Odyssey of the Mind, and community groups including Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts—there’s so much to celebrate and explore together.

The Cooper Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is hosting a meeting for rising 7th grade parents, Thursday June 4th from 9-10:30 am. This special PTO meeting will include a student panel, an opportunity to ask questions, a tour of the school, and a spirit ware sale. |
Come be part of the fun! Whether you’re up for getting soaked at a water station, cheering kids through a hula hoop relay, or refereeing an epic Rock-Paper-Scissors battle, we’ve got a station for you!
Field Day is one of the most joy-filled, unforgettable days of the year and volunteering will be one of your favorite Forestville memories.

The Children’s Center for Language and Culture, Inc. (ChiCeLaCu!) in partnership with the Forestville ES PTA is pleased to offer the Spanish Program for its 16th consecutive year. ChiCeLaCu’s goal is to cement a strong language foundation, ultimately enabling students to become proficient Spanish speakers. This upcoming school year will feature a 3 day and NEW 5 days option.
